I apologize that I have yet to educate America on the capabilities of the aboriginal indigenous intellectual male. I take full responsibility for my negligence. Instead of retarding myself - eradicating the power obtained through knowledge - I should have enlightened society until the established powers realize that the deconstruction of reconstruction was an inadequate attempt to destroy my legacy. By disregarding my obligations I allowed myself to become “another.” I refuse to, however, be aliented by or appertained to the connotations of that derogatory term, which was dissipated to deteriorate my integrity. I am a steadfast being, manifested with His favor, sent to overcome adversity and triumph over those who stole, beat, and raped my ancestors in order to annex my inheritance, although many disregarded the fact that my fortitude could not be disengage.

About the mess
They obsess to depress
Their negative attitudes
and platitudes,
Disregarding intelligence
and aptitudes
The High and Haughty
Thinking ignorant and naughty
Having no disdain
They’re mentally deranged
With the knavery and slavery
False bravado, no bravery
So excuse me if I
Take a stand
Against their plan
Be a man
old and grand
Striving towards
The Promised Land

They say a spoiled apple always ruins the bunch
What about those apples that make good lunch
Image is only as far as the eye can see
So don’t look at my hair to pass judgement on me
What’s growing out of my scalp seems out of control
You fear what’s next to come because it’s untold
Therefore you want to put limitation on this action
Maintaining my hair for you sanity and satisfaction
To your assumption I’ve taken on an image completely wrong
You wish I could go to the barber so it won’t prolong
Since when have my hair measured up to my intelligence
If that were the case it’d flow for miles looking elegant
Under your pretenses cutting my hair would make me dumb
Taking a razor to my head just short of nothing to come
So if being a bad apple is what it’s gone take out of me
I’ll spoil each and every person until they can plainly see
It’s acceptable to let their beauty flourish far beyond the dawn
That at the end of the day they don’t have to be second to none
You just sit watch and wait in your frantic anticipation
Next time recognize greatness
Don’t be so quick in deliberation

He wanted to drown in his sorrows sink flooded the thousandth times
He cries so much at night rivers that flow from his mind
Thoughts of a better life no financial burden weights of pain
Underemployed past due bills and bankruptcy all one in the same
Beauty in the eye of the beholder without money lack her attention
A family centered man broken she cares not his intentions
Pockets shallower than a puddle spiritually deeper than the ocean
His life volatile as the stock market like a roller coaster in motion
He keeps pressing forward mindset on building a solid foundation
Bridge over troubled water his wealth surpass many in the nation
Never gives up on his dream fighting from rags to riches
Until then reality sets in sink full of dirty dishes

Misery only loves company in the presence of a failure
How can one frown when his suit fit tailored
The struggle a mere journey grinding means to an end
Vision misinterpreted a microscope could not comprehend
Magnifying glass distorts perception of reality
Telescope distance not far enough to decipher the mentality
Illusions casting a facade society’s rendition of him successful
Handicapped by unlevel playing fields the community neglectful
But with a vigilant pursuit of happiness globalization raise the bar
Toast to his next generation born eagle above par

BJ turn off them fountains
cus it’s time for adult swim /
But her facet steady leakin’
and I want to dive right in /
Not in the 12 feet girl I’m talkin’
‘bout going 10 inches in /
With that Aquafina flow girl
I done forgot how to swim /
Drowning, Trent gone have to rescue me
Bring snorkles and them fins /
Better yet a whole damn scuba tank
Breath lost when I slid it /
Flutter kicked so deep up in her
Breast stroke to the shallow end /
15 minutes up so blow that whistle
Let them kids back in

Most eat that thang / disregarding the fact that it is well done
Fall asleep next to a grape / awaken by a raisin in the sun
Dried out tender nor juicy / even when medium rare
Best left in the freezer / forgotten about with out a care
Because once that thang thaw out / I like to season it to taste
Making no reservations / Before I put that thang to my face
And many of you must heard / condiments make that thang better
But like mustard I don’t need lubricant / to get that thang wetter
See because when marinating that thang just right
You got to heat up the grill
Using charcoal or propane / left feeling like king of the hill
Quality USDA Prime / that thang finger licking good Nothing like them rats / coming straight up out the hood
Tickle me pink on the inside / all them calories burnin
Long hard spatula flip that thang / got it tossin’ & turning’
Never mishandled / that thang a delicacy so exquisite Sizzling heard for miles / very few actually get the chance to visit
That thang arouses an appetite / within hunger
If I prayed for what I see before me
Does that make her heaven sent?
Or does lusting for her warm brace
fill my soul with the need to repen
Yearning for God’s creature
possibly not intended for me
But with eyes jaded and no sense of direction
I can indisputably see
Her smile brightens my cloudiest day
and propel joy into another
Only the distance we share apart
keep me unable to smother
this Goddess who is aesthetically pleasing
and of profound intellect
Half a man does not possess the ability
to love honor and protect
Because he who is half is not a man
but a poor excuse for a brother
Making it hard for all the whole
to find a woman befitting of a mother
I’ve fallen victim once again
to emotions thinking with my heart
Not easily broken possible
only the abrasions of this enduring part
Until that day comes
when my compulsion subdues
and I let her go
Remnants of an angel
that materialized before me
lingers up in Chicago

Delusional to the destruction of my decadence
Played with fire disregarding her relevance
Danced in Hell’s Kitchen heat maleficent
Plagued with disorder scorched her innocence
Destroyed the desire of her seeking true love
Dammed my emotions put up a fight for a hug
But when that water falls no hesitation to dive deep in
Consumed by my desire indulge in lust cardinal sin
Despicable me depart before day breaks darkness
Dawn ushers in mornings light when lonely is harshest
Disappointed by a disaster deliberately left in despair
Despised by his deception unwilling to repair
Visual Spoken Word

He went in with no protection until slip begin to slide
Planting seeds of malcontent as she enjoyed the ride
Rooted deep up through her cervix
menstruation no longer hide
What appears to be coming
so why the lack of pride
Looking for fun no commitment
what transpired a disgrace
Destroyed and dismayed a desolate space
Can’t step into the mirror unable to recognize his face
Wishing this was a hallucination the THC lace
Amazon wild fire uninhabitable this place
Visual Spoken Word

Torn between logic and emotion
Why did I give her my devotion?
My mind tells me to leave her alone
But my heart says let‘s make her moan
I made myself vulnerable to her lethal trap
Contemplating the moment when I’ll snap
Enduring a relationship with no rational end
Maybe one day I’ll be able to comprehend
A decision made hard by only myself
Delusional to the deterioration of my health
But the potential of us being together
Engross the brunt of the stormy weather
Smoking sessions to maintain our connection
Cascading the facade of my deception

My perception of nature,
altered by the thought of you.
The twinkle in your eyes
reminiscent of the moon
brightening the begrudgingly dark sky.
So illusive in the distance,
yet the radiant glow
ushering in each new day.
Not to be eclipsed by your curves
traveling through each lunar phase.
The sun rises, warmth felt in its rays
like your sensual touch.
Birds singing along side angels,
in tune with the sound of your melodic voice.
Your words prickly like thorns
protecting your delicacies,
rose petals imitating the color of your lipstick.
Many women mistaken for precious metals,
merely iron on its way to rust.
All the elements on the periodic table
compared to you, a cloud of dust.
Society equating your intrinsic value
to that of material things.
I see a goddess
unwilling to commodify a priceless queen.
Your thoughts deeper than the ocean,
find one's self drowning
trying to understand you.
Yet like plants providing oxygen,
your breath reassuring the river to flow.
Steadfast in your beliefs,
tree rooted entrenched in the depths of earth.
Kings may sit on the throne
but your rightful position,
mother of humanity, always first!
The pendulum of the mind oscillates between sense and nonsense, not between right and wrong.
